01 / The everyday ritual

Less rush.
More ritual.

Mate is more than a drink. It is a way to pause, pour, and reconnect—with yourself or with the people around you.

Get to know the leaf
A little leaf.
A lasting tradition.

Yerba mate is made from the leaves of Ilex paraguariensis. Naturally caffeinated and distinctly earthy, it has long been enjoyed across South America.

The heart of Téy
01

Make a little room

Start with yerba mate, a gourd or suitable cup, and a bombilla—the filtered straw used for traditional mate.

02

Warm, not boiling

Moisten the leaves with a little cool water first, then add warm water. Avoid boiling water, which can make the infusion harsh.

03

Pour. Sip. Repeat.

Sip through the bombilla and refill with warm water. Take your time, and let the flavor change with each pour.

First pour: a practical brewing guide

Fill your gourd about halfway to two-thirds with yerba. Tilt it to gather the leaves on one side, leaving a space for water.

Add a little cool water to that space and let it absorb. Place the bombilla into the damp area, then pour water at about 70–80°C. Let boiling water cool first.

Leave the bombilla in place while you sip and refill. Stop when the flavor fades. For a milder introduction, use less yerba and adjust your next brew to taste.

Yerba mate contains caffeine. Keep your own caffeine preferences in mind.

02 / Same roots. Brighter horizons.

More life.
Naturally.

Mate’s story begins with the Indigenous Guaraní people and the forests of South America. Today, preparing and sharing mate remains part of everyday life across the region.

Téy’s invitation is simple: get to know the leaf, respect where it comes from, and make a little space for the ritual. A quiet morning. A conversation. A moment outside.

Natural energy for a brighter you. Yerba mate contains caffeine; enjoy it in a way that suits you.
